the heritage museum will be housed in the proposed Thakazhi Birth Centenary Memorial that is being set up in memory of Jnanpith laureate Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai at his residence �Sankaramangalam'.

the museum will encapsulate the Kuttanad heritage and the rich traditional values of Kerala. The building, which is being modelled on the �koothambalam' (auditorium for performing arts), will be constructed by the Public Works Department.

Presently the thakazhi museum is housed in this space
