Thakazhi museum

Sankaramangalam the house where thakazhi lived which is situated 22 km from Alappuzha has been converted to a museum-cum-memorial hall dedicated to the memory of the late Thakazhi Sivasankaran Pillai (1912-1999), the famous writer who won the Jnanpeeth award in 1984, and whose writings include 35 novels and 600 short stories.
. The takazhi smaraka samithi looks after the affairs of the museum. The museum is open from 0930 - 1630 hrs except on Mondays and national holidays. Ph: 0477-2274243.
